Primary Function: The Executive Director of Student Services is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing comprehensive support programs that address the behavioral, social-emotional, and health needs of students in a PreK-8 educational setting. This leader ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment. The Executive Director works collaboratively with administrators, educators, and families to enhance student success and well-being.

Salary: Minimum Salary Starting at $125,000 – Commensurate experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
2. Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administrative Endorsement required.
3. Director of Special Education endorsement, preferred.
4. Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in student services, special education, or related fields within PreK-8 education.
5. Experience with EasyIEP and Skyward preferred.
6. Proven experience managing diverse teams and student support programs.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Passage of pre-employment medical examination, including Tuberculosis (TB) test and any other job specific required medical testing.
9. Pass a Regional Office of Education Fingerprint based Background Clearance including Federal Bureau of Investigation.
10. Alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board finds appropriate and acceptable may be approved.

4. Utilize data-driven decision-making to assess and improve program effectiveness.
5. Aid in the review, analyzation, and evaluation pending legislation, legal mandates, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to student discipline.
6. Supervise and evaluate the performance of student services personnel, including Director of Special Education, Director of Family and Student Services, Director of Athletics and Activities, Director of Health Services, Director of Safety and Security, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Administrative Assistant.
7. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other applicable regulations.
8. Maintain accurate records and reporting for all student services programs.
9. Work closely with school principals, teachers, and staff to support student success.
10. Oversee student discipline policies and ensure a fair, restorative approach to behavior management.
11. Support schools in addressing issues such as bullying prevention, trauma-informed practices, and student safety.
12. Build strong relationships with families and community organizations to enhance student services.
13. Provide professional development and training for educators and staff on best practices in student support.
14. Oversee completion of Federal Grants (i.e., IDEA, McKinney Vento, etc.).
15. Establish and maintain the department's budget.
16. Contribute to the evaluation of data, including perception data, and plan development as it relates to the district continuous improvement plan and district strategic plan.
17. Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations and administrative procedures.
18. Demonstrate professionalism and contribute to a positive work environment.
19. Perform other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
