Some of your job duties in this role will be:
- Serves as a team member within the Medical Reception and Scheduling department
- Shares in patient appointment scheduling and front desk check-in/out duties
- Assists Medical Receptionist when needed during lunchtime and vacation/personal time off
- Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel or initiates a triage message for response by medical personnel
- Coordinates referral for patients through insurance and other physician offices
- Coordinates in office radiology orders and various GI testing
- All other duties as assigned
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Completion of High School or a GED program
- Obtain a minimum of 1-3 years customer or medical office service experience
- Must demonstrate a high competency level with general computer applications and functions
- Must be able to travel on occasion to our Lansing office sites
- Must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening
