Troy Humphrey Moving & Storage is currently hiring!

We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Movers. As a Mover, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving furniture and other items for our clients. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent customer service skills. Experience is great but not necessary – We will train the right candidates. Essential Functions and Duties (may include but not limited to the following):

• Pack customers’ household goods onsite at their place of residence.
• Complete household goods inventory – Will Train.
• Delivery of customers’ household goods at their residence.
• Safely load, unload, and transport furniture and other items
• Follow established routes and schedules for efficient delivery
• Provide exceptional customer service during the moving process
• Ensure all items are properly secured during transportation

Requirements:

• Be on time. Be Friendly. Be Safe!
• Neat, professional, and well-groomed appearance.
• Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local and state laws and regulations.
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Drivers safely operate moving truck, performing daily truck inspections and paperwork with customers.
• Safely move, pack and unpack customer belongings.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good Driving record.
• Must pass DOD Background check. We will provide vetting for Base Access, NC Real ID is required.
• Experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role is beneficial
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus

Working Conditions:

• Indoors and outdoors.
• Lifting of heavy items (75 pounds or more).
• Frequent squatting and bending.
• Frequent use of stairs, balancing and walking.

Starting pay is $13.00 - $16.00 per hour based on experience level.
