Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Plant Controller/Plant Accounting Manager located in Clarksville, TN. The role involves overseeing financial statements, managing fixed assets, conducting cost accounting, utilizing analytical skills, and overseeing finance-related operations on the plant level, etc.
Primarily responsible for managing all financial aspects of a manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial guidance to plant management to optimize operations and profitability.
Key responsibilities of a manufacturing plant controller include:
Financial planning and analysis:
Creating and managing plant budgets, forecasting financial performance, analyzing variances between planned and actual results to identify areas for improvement.
Cost accounting:
Tracking and analyzing manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead, to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Financial reporting:
Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for plant management and corporate leadership, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Internal controls:
Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration with plant management:
Working closely with plant managers to identify financial implications of operational decisions and provide strategic financial advice.
Capital expenditure management:
Reviewing and approving capital expenditure requests, tracking spending on capital projects.
Auditing and tax compliance:
Coordinating with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring accurate tax filings.
Performance metrics:
