Troy Regional Medical Center is seeking candidates for a Full-Time Registered Nurse in the Surgery/PACU/Recovery Department, with experience in General Surgery and Orthopedics. The role primarily involves providing patient care, supervising nursing personnel, and assisting in various surgical and post-operative recovery settings. Some key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients.
- Supervising and educating nursing staff.
- Assisting with surgical procedures, including scrubbing and circulating.
- Floating between different areas such as the Operating Room (OR), Holding, and Recovery.
- Acting as a Charge Nurse in the absence of the Charge Nurse or Director.
- Handling administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- At least one year of experience in Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Central Sterile is preferred.
- Charge nurse experience is a plus.
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Hours and Call Rotation:
- Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 AM.
- The position includes a call rotation, requiring the candidate to be onsite and ready to work within 30 minutes when called in.
