Position Overview:
As the Admissions Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Admissions and Business Office teams to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient admission experience for incoming residents and their families. Your clerical expertise and attention to detail will help uphold our mission of Excellence in Care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet visitors, families, and prospective residents with warmth, professionalism, and respect
Assist in managing and maintaining resident admissions files and paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
Collect, organize, and input data related to resident admissions into facility systems
Prepare admission packets and required documentation for new residents
Support communication between internal departments (nursing, therapy, dietary, etc.) to ensure smooth transitions
Coordinate and schedule admissions tours and meetings
Maintain organized records and filing systems for active and prospective admissions
Answer incoming calls related to admissions inquiries and provide general facility information
Assist with clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and filing
Other administrative support duties as assigned by the Admissions Director or Business Office Manager
Qualifications:
Prior experience in healthcare admissions, healthcare office support, or general clerical work preferred
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
