What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at Troy University?
The Athletic Trainer position is responsible for working with sports assigned, pending approval of Assistant AD of Athletic Training; assisting the Assistant AD of Athletic Training with the delivery of health care to student athletes of athletic programs; providing athletic medicine services for team practices and competitions (travel required); providing prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses sustained by student-athletes; maintaining medical records for all assigned student-athletics; designing and implementing pre- and post-injury rehabilitation for the student-athletes; providing supervision of athletic training students and/or athletic training aides in CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program; and performing other duties as assigned by Director of Athletic Training.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program
2. Active BOC Certification, in good standing
3. Eligible for Athletic Training Licensure in state of Alabama
4. Minimum of one year of experience, preferable in Division I athletics
