What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Career Services position at Troy University?
The Director position in Career Services will be responsible for supervising the Assistant Director of Career Services and the Program Advisor of Career Services, in addition to a Graduate Assistant and multiple student staff. This position will be responsible for the overall vision and programming of the Office of Career Services, including but not limited to: overall strategy for enhancing career outcomes of Troy graduates, ensuring appointment availability by staff for resume reviews, interviewing, career coaching, job search assistance, internship assistance, and all other student appointment needs related to their major and career search. Maintenance and understanding of career software such as job posting systems, career assessment resources, the use and monitoring of current marketing and job search strategies, career counseling techniques, and more. Event oversight and planning to engage internal and external stakeholders (including employers) will be a large portion of this role as career fairs range from all majors, to department and college-specific fairs. Other duties such as conducting presentations and workshops for organizations and classes as well as maintaining the office budget and representing the Office of Career Services at university-wide functions will be necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Counseling, Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or a related field
