We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient management of accounting processes. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, financial reporting, budgeting, and maintaining financial records in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Process invoices, manage paperwork, and maintain databases.
- Ensure month-end revenues and expenses are fully accrued; major vendor statement reviews; billings reviews.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Manage financial transactions related to inventory, parts, and service operations in the automotive shop.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Maintain accurate records of expenses, sales, and operational costs.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage vendor relationships and liaise with external vendors and service providers.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering necessary supplies, parts, and equipment to support repair operations efficiently.
- Process shop work orders in Fleet Maintenance System.
- Assign and communicate purchase orders for outside service and/or equipment parts.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis to help drive inventory and collections improvements, formulating pricing strategies, cost control measures, and performing profitability analysis.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred, but not required.
· 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a shop or service center environment.
· Experience in financial management, inventory control, and team leadership is highly valued.
Skills:
· Must have Quickbooks experience
· Experience having responsibility for accrual-based accounting month end close processes
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Bilingual – Spanish speaking is preferred
· Ability to work independently
· Fleet/Automotive Shop experience preferred
· Ability to work with confidential information/material
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
