Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Ideal candidates also need to have overseen projects valued over $50M with a solid stable work history. This role requires excellent leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and HeavyBid for project tracking and reporting.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare reports on project status for stakeholders, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam for document management and Ohmmeter for electrical testing as needed.
- Ensure effective communication among team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques and pipeline management.
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Excellent budgeting skills with the ability to manage financial aspects of projects effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate teams effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints, contracts, and technical documents related to construction projects.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields are a plus.
