Quality Inspector

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA / QC Inspector that possesses an American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential and has knowledge and understanding of Electrical systems. This position will inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure that contractors and employees complete the work in accordance with plans and specifications.

Essential Functions :

• Observe and inspect ongoing industrial construction work.
• Read, understand, and communicate details of project, pipe, and electrical drawings / blueprints and ensure that work follows plan specifications.
• Maintain a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion and discuss construction related problems with Project Manager.
• File documentation and complete the required technical report forms.
• Assist with project estimating, oversight, & administration.
• Work closely with the Electrical and Pipe Superintendents to evaluate plans and effectively communicate objectives and requirements across departments.
• Evaluates decisions related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• Manage decisions related to sub-fabricator and third-party inspection agencies, code conformance, quality issues, to QA / QC personnel.
• Determine disposition, root cause, and corrective action in case of nonconforming products or other customer issues, to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize recurring quality problems.
• Prepare for and represent the company during and after customer audits, to meet customer requirements and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Must be capable of operating a standard 1 / 2-ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
