We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, team player to join our hotel housekeeping team!
Purpose of the Position: To maintain clean, orderly, and attractive Guest rooms while following Company standards and safety/security procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Meets and exceeds Guest and team member expectations by providing exceptional service and teamwork.
-Providing value-added service to Guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed Guest expectations.
-Communicating effectively with Guests, co-workers, and Supervisors.
-Demonstrating teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
-Handling difficult situations effectively.
-Personally introduces himself/herself to the Guests in order to obtain feedback regarding the Hotel and provide a hospitable atmosphere.
-Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the Guest rooms by:
1. Stripping all dirty linen from rooms
2. Wiping down all areas of the guest room to include: dressers, nightstand, T.V. stand, etc.
3. Empty all garbage cans
4. Cleaning all windows and mirrors
5. Cleaning the entire bathroom including the floors
6. Placing fresh linen in all Guest rooms to include: towels, sheets, etc.
7. Stock and fill the housekeeping cart on a daily basis
8. Keep all bottles of cleaners labeled
9. Report all lost and found items to the supervisor immediately
10. Report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Engineering Department and your Supervisor
11. Vacuuming every room including underneath the bed
-Ensures proper safety procedures are followed
-Following Hotel grooming and dress standards
-Following all safety and security procedures and rules
-Arriving to work on time, clocking in, and reporting to the area as scheduled
-Participating in department meetings, pre-shift meetings, and training meetings
-Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
-Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other Company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
Qualifications:
-A high school diploma or GED
-Experience in a hotel or related preferred
-Pleasant, outgoing, flexible, creative, team player, and able to work independently
-Neat, professional appearance
-Ability to complete work accurately, timely, and neatly
-Prior experience as a room attendant preferred
-Service orientated
-Takes a strong personal interest in Guest satisfaction
-High energy level and stamina
-Effective time management skills
-Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
-Work in a fast-paced environment
-Possess effective problem-solving skills, listening skills, and great attention to detail
-Lift, push, pull, bend, carry, turn, grasp, and balance up to 50/75 lbs.
-Able to stand for extended periods of time
-Polish, vacuum, dust, and perform other cleaning duties
-Understand the safety requirements for handling cleaning chemicals
-Conduct oneself professionally under all circumstances
-Exercise empowerment to properly handle Guest complaints and/or concerns
