Job Summary: We are looking for an Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper/Head Housekeeper who will directly supervise and coordinate housekeeping operations and employees. This person will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the hotel and services by brand/company expectations. They'll enforce policies, procedures and standards as established by the brand and company.

Responsibilities
-
Inspects and evaluates the quality of services for meeting guest needs and confirming guest satisfaction
-
Maintains established procedures in the hiring, scheduling, discipline and dismissal of employees.

Plans and prepares weekly employee schedules
-
Implements programs for the orientation, training, and development of employees
-
Maintains communications across departments
-
Monitors and maintains level of cleanliness in rooms, suites, storage areas, laundry, rest rooms and public areas

Enforces procedures for security of guest, employee and hotel property
-
Conducts monthly inventory of linen, supplies and equipment and orders and receives supplies as necessary to maintain inventory levels and par stock

Works with management to resolve guest complaints

Maintains energy management practices, policies and procedures

Calculates, submits and monitors actual departmental costs and insures that costs do not exceed budget

Ensures action steps are taken to maintain department’s level of performance against the business plan and budget

May be required to work as room attendant or in laundry during low occupancy periods

May serve as “Manager-on-Duty” as required

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Regular attendance in is essential
- May be required to work varying schedules and holidays
- Required to fully comply with the hotel’s rules and regulations
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, trade school, training, trade skill or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
- Work indoors and out and often deal with hazardous materials, including bodily waste and cleaning chemicals
- Work in high and precarious places
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to use hands and fingers, to climb and balance, top, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl frequently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
