Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Hotel General Manager, you’ll oversee the pre-opening setup, daily operations, financial performance, and hotel guest satisfaction. You will also lead the hiring, training, and development of a new team, ensure a smooth hotel launch, and implement sales and revenue strategies to establish the property as a market leader.
Pre-Opening & Hotel Launch
- Partner with Hilton brand representatives and GLMG to ensure a successful pre-opening process.
- Develop and execute pre-opening marketing and sales plans to build brand awareness in the local market.
- Implement operational systems, training programs, and brand service standards before opening day.
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements are met for hotel operations.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, hire, and train a motivated, guest-focused team.
- Foster a positive, results-driven culture where employees feel valued and empowered.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure high team morale and excellent guest service.
- Establish operational procedures, performance expectations, and service standards for the new team.
Sales, Revenue & Market Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate corporate, leisure, and group bookings.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, corporate accounts, and travel agencies.
- Work closely with Hilton’s revenue management team to optimize rates, occupancy, and RevPAR.
- Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and local demand generators to stay ahead.
- Drive direct bookings and reduce OTA dependency through effective sales and digital marketing efforts.
Financial & Revenue Management
- Oversee the hotel’s budget, forecasting, and financial planning to maximize profitability.
- Ensure cost control measures while maintaining high-quality guest service and operations.
- Identify opportunities for increasing revenue through upselling, F&B, and local partnerships.
- Analyze financial reports and adjust strategies to meet revenue goals.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance functions.
- Maintain high brand standards and ensure superior guest satisfaction scores.
- Implement quality assurance measures to deliver clean, safe, and well-maintained accommodations.
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve service challenges proactively.
Community & Brand Engagement
- Establish Tru by Hilton - Grimes as a top choice for travelers in the area.
- Build relationships with local businesses, tourism organizations, and Hilton corporate partners.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, community gatherings, and industry functions.
Who We’re Looking For
We seek a hands-on, results-driven leader passionate about hospitality, revenue growth, and team success.
✔ 3 years of Hotel General Manager experience (Hilton experience preferred, but not required)
✔ Previous experience in pre-opening or ramp-up of a hotel is highly desirable
✔ Strong background in sales, revenue management, and market positioning
✔ Proven ability to analyze market trends and implement strategic sales initiatives
✔ Hands-on approach with a guest-first leadership style
✔ Financial acumen and budget management skills
✔ Ability to problem-solve, innovate, and think strategically in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
