Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of hotel common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Strip bed linens, towels and collect any trash from guest rooms
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and stairwells.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Walk the parking lot and exterior, collecting any trash and keeping property clean.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.
Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is a plus.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous for understanding guest expectations.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and products is beneficial for maintaining various surfaces within the hotel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
