Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and appearance of our hotel’s laundry services, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties
- Launder and clean various types of fabrics, including linens, towels, and uniforms, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry items for easy distribution to appropriate areas within the hotel.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specific garments or items requiring special care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
