Laundry Attendant/Housekeeping

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in dry cleaning and laundering, particularly in a hotel or hospitality environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute significantly to our guests' satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to established procedures.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring that delicate items are handled with care.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and report low stock levels.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure timely delivery of clean items.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or dry cleaning position is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with hotel laundry operations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
• Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for various fabrics is desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.75 - $14.75 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 38 per week
