Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, cleaned, and presented to the highest standards. The Laundry Attendant will work closely with other staff members to ensure timely service and satisfaction of guests.
Duties
- Launder and clean all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, fold, and store clean items in designated areas.
- Inspect items for stains or damages before processing; report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by following sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes as needed.
- Ensure proper inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, especially in a hotel setting.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
