What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor/Front Desk Clerk position at Tru by Hilton?
We’re looking for a Part-time Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (11 pm-7 am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot in order to resolve guest issues that may arise and respond to emergency situations
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Skills
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles
- Customer service attitude
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A degree in hotel management is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
