The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for accommodating guests of the hotel by setting up, maintaining and breaking down the breakfast dining area. This position is responsible for making guests feel welcome, comfortable and well attended to at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet arriving guests in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome
- Ensure that the guest receives immediate and proper attention
- Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints
- Circulate throughout the dining rooms and lounge periodically and ensure the presence of a high-quality dining area
- Ask departing guests if food and service were satisfactory and invite guests to come back again
- Properly stock and re-fill dining area with food, beverages, and dining accessories
- Ensure that all side work and cleaning duties are completed satisfactorily
- Keep dining area neat and clean
- Direct the proper closing of the dining room
- Use tact and courtesy in all situations
- All other duties as assigned

- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
- Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures

Education and experience:
- High school diploma
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. and work with cleaning chemicals. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.
