Job Overview:
We are looking for both men and women who are dedicated and loyal Direct Care Professionals to assist clients living with mental, cognitive, and mobility disabilities.
Your duties will include performing housekeeping tasks, assisting clients with meals, medications, ADL, transportation, hygiene, and toileting.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Provide companionship and engage individuals in social and recreational activities
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist individuals with mobility needs
- Running errands, including shopping for groceries and basic household items.
- Turning/Ambulating clients every two hours.
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Making appointment arrangements
- Hourly behavior documentation
- Inventory audits
Direct Care Staff Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Resume
A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
Extensive knowledge of best practices in the provision of direct care.
Experience in administering prescribed medications and treatments.
Exceptional ability to assist clients with mobility, personal care, and hygiene needs.
Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties, run errands, and prepare meals.
Advanced ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment, as well as safely discarding biological waste.
Excellent interpersonal skills, a caring approach, and physically fit.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Direct Care Staff Clearance Requirements:
Must pass Caregiver Background check and/or transfer fingerprint clearance.
Health Screening completed within 1 week of hire date.
TB testing
COVID Vaccine Card and/or Exemption
First Aid Card and/or CPR/BLS card
