Tru Living Recovery is seeking a qualified and empathetic part-time Addiction Counselor to facilitate night group sessions at our facility. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting individuals in recovery and making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Job Summary: Provides psychotherapy for various substance use and mental health clients while adhering to Tru Living Recovery vision and Mission Statement.

Salary: Guaranteed salary, non-billable hours

Essential Functions include but not limited to:

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions on substance use & other psycho educational topics for individuals in recovery during evening hours.
  • Implement evidence-based group curricula tailored to client's needs.
  • Foster a supportive, safe, and respectful environment for group participants.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of group sessions in compliance with facility and state regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Company policies and procedures
  • Communicates well and has a positive attitude

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Active licensure or certification (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, CADC, or equivalent) in the state of Idaho.
  • Experience facilitating group therapy, preferably in substance use or mental health treatment setting.
  • Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and commit to a consistent schedule.
  • Knowledge of 12-step programs and alternate recovery pathways (preferred).

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently under supervision.
  • Master’s Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent
  • Must know how to use and maintain Electronic Medical Records.
  • Possesses physical and mental health that is adequate to perform job duties.
  • Self-identified person in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder must have a minimum of (1) one year sobriety.
  • Must pass pre-hire requirements including an enhanced criminal background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
