Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Breast CT Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced mammographic diagnostic imaging procedures using the Koning Breast CT machine in our mobile unit. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare providers to produce high-quality images of breast tissue, ensuring accurate diagnoses of diseases and injuries.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a clinical setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction while upholding the highest standards of diagnostic imaging quality.

Travel: This position will be based in our mobile imaging unit, which operates across Southern California, including Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. The role requires up to 75% local same-day travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate specialized equipment, obtaining images that help physicians detect breast cancer and other breast diseases in their earliest stages.
• Provide an overview of the entire process to the patient from patient prep, imaging and result turn-around time, including addressing any patient’s anxiety if needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational troubleshooting and real-time problem resolution.
• Evaluate the images to ensure that they contain proper identification and labeling and are of diagnostic quality.
• Analyzing images to assess quality, identifying any abnormalities, and making necessary adjustments for optimal imaging
• Maintaining and troubleshooting mammography equipment, performing regular quality control checks, and promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals regarding patient findings
• Maintain and clean mammography equipment and report any technical issues to appropriate personnel
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the procedure room by following all infection control procedures.
• Have clear understanding of safety protocols related to radiation exposure and management.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety protocols, healthcare regulations, and quality assurance standards for radiology services and healthcare services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, FDA, state-specific radiology standards, and other healthcare related requirements.
• Assists in coordinating and scheduling of events, health screenings, and visits for the mobile units throughout the year to serve partner communities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Radiology or related field
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic & Therapeutic (California), Required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California), Required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - Mammographic Certificate (California)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification or Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT), Preferred
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California), Preferred
• At least 3-year experience in performing breast imaging radiology or imaging services.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong people skills with the ability to act as tier 1-2 tech support

Salary : $43 - $55
