What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Superintendent position at TruBlu HR Solutions?
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Welding Superintendent with at least 5 years of experience managing both shop and field welding work. Will be responsible for performing job walks, coordinating with clients to understand job requirements, and allocating resources. Must provide regular status updates to clients regarding project progress, requirements, and timelines. Will oversee all commercial aspects of welding work, including estimating, budgeting, procuring materials and consumables, and maintaining welding equipment. Must coordinate with Quality Control to ensure compliance with hold points, repair plans, code work, and code packages. Will be responsible for managing welding department staff, including hiring, supervising, and staffing jobs. Position requires a strong hands-on approach to oversee daily welding operations, ensure quality standards and deadlines are met, and provide onsite job support and supervision when required. Must maintain job files, records of completed work, and prepare reports for upper management. Strong background in code work, code repairs, and the ability to read and interpret P&ID’s and ISO’s is required. Must be able to resolve employee issues, ensure compliance with scheduling and cost control processes, and identify and address project concerns and performance.
