We are looking for an experienced and versatile Field Carpenter & Estimator to join our team. This dual-role position combines hands-on carpentry work with on-site estimating responsibilities , making it ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys both building and customer interaction. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in door and window installation, siding repair and replacement, deck building and refacing, and general framing for walls and doors .
Key Responsibilities :
Field Carpentry & Installation
Install interior and exterior doors , including pre-hung, slab, sliding, and custom doors.Install and replace windows , ensuring proper fit, sealing, insulation, and weatherproofing.Perform siding repairs and full siding replacements using various materials (vinyl, fiber cement, wood, etc.).Construct new decks and re-surface / reface existing decks , including framing, decking, railing, and stair systems.Frame interior and exterior walls , rough openings for doors and windows, and other structural components.Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and adheres to local building codes .On-Site Estimating & Project Assessment
Conduct on-site visits to assess project scope and gather accurate measurements.Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, and project timelines.Work directly with homeowners and clients to explain scope, options, and costs .Collaborate with office staff to ensure timely and accurate proposals are sent to clients.Identify and communicate potential challenges or additional work needed during project evaluation.Project Coordination & Quality Control
Review project plans, client expectations, and scope before starting work.Ensure materials are ordered and available before work begins.Maintain clean and safe work areas and adhere to company safety standards.Provide regular updates on project progress, unexpected issues, and additional work requests.Ensure all work meets company quality standards and exceeds customer expectations.What we value :
