About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team onsite in-office five days a week. This role involves analyzing and resolving claims efficiently while collaborating with stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Investigate, analyze, and assess the extent of liability for personal, casualty, property loss, and commercial auto damages.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation and court decisions impacting claims.
- Collaborate with insureds, agents, medical specialists, witnesses, and claimants to gather critical information.
- Review and analyze police reports and medical records to formulate recommendations.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and recommend litigation when needed.
- Ensure timely follow-up with adjusters, managers, investigators, and legal counsel for successful claim resolutions.
- Accurately evaluate and document claims based on findings.
- Communicate effectively with insureds to obtain necessary details and provide updates.
- Monitor and document claim developments, adhering to company protocols.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on findings and settlement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies, regulations, and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the claims process.
- Contribute to developing and refining claims management strategies.
- Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate cases as needed.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
- Support team goals through collaboration and problem-solving.
- Handle other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of claims experience.
- Strong background in commercial auto claims required.
- Experience in E&S (excess and surplus) claims preferred.
- Property and Casualty Adjuster License required within six months of hire.
- Demonstrated proficiency in claims investigation and analysis.
- Skilled in negotiation and settlement processes.
- Ability to interpret and analyze legal and medical documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance standards.
