Overview
The DON/Clinical Nurse Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. This leadership position requires a blend of clinical expertise, management skills, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing nursing operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to promote professional development and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatment protocols.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Manage the collection and processing of specimens, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate family planning services and provide education to patients regarding reproductive health.
• Conduct physical examinations and provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with ICD-9 coding standards.
• Manage the provision of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed for patient care.
• Foster a positive work environment in assisted living settings, promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Skills

• Proficient in ICD-9 coding and documentation practices.
• Strong knowledge of infant care principles and pediatric nursing practices.
• Experience in specimen collection processing techniques.
• Familiarity with family planning services and education methods.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
• Ability to conduct thorough physical examinations across various age groups.
• Compassionate approach to nursing, particularly within assisted living environments.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,950.00 - $74,826.00 per year
