Trucent Renewable Chemicals seeks a dynamic and successful Sales Manager to join their growing team. Created in 2020 as subsidiary of Trucent, Inc. a 25-year-old leader in sustainability solutions across North America, Trucent Renewables uses the most advanced technology to produce oleochemicals from a variety of vegetable oils. Our proprietary process allows us to produce a wide range of chemistries that offer our customers the ability to develop custom blends that best suit their needs. Moreover, this is all accomplished by way of a process that is uniquely sustainable, producing fewer greenhouse gases and using less water than conventional production methods.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Engineer to help design and optimize chemical processes for the production of various products. This includes helping with installations, troubleshooting, development and lead critical projects.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop complete layout and engineering drawings of a variety of components and assemblies such as schematics, interconnect lists and parts breakdown from notes, rough sketches or general instructions.
- Contribute design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation and product quality.
- Design and develop chemical processes for manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure safe and efficient production processes.
- Optimize existing processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Perform material and energy balance calculations.
- Monitor process conditions, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of chemical plants or laboratory equipment.
- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and report findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with project teams, including other engineers, technicians, and safety personnel.
- Stay updated with the latest research and technological advancements in the field of chemical engineering.
- Determine scaling, utilize necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
- Coordinate plans, details and specifications with other vendors.
- Support manufacturing and assembly operations to help realize design objectives.
- Source and oversee contracts and service providers for functions such as construction, electric, parking, security, etc.
- Evaluate and advise on business initiatives that improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the facility.
- Ensure basic facilities are well-maintained and conduct proactive maintenance. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Identify and secure proper tools, machinery, and other physical resources to enable peers to fulfill their responsibilities and ensure efficient and accurate production in the facility.
- Ensure facility meets compliance standards and government regulations.
- Guarantee building meets safety, environmental, and health standards set forth by Trucent, OSHA, and the BWC.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
Experience:
- 5 years of Project & Process Engineering experience. Industry experience preferred (e.g., pharmaceuticals, energy, petrochemicals)
- Vacuum distillation experience a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Familiarity with industry standard equipment.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Solid understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other industrial utilities.
- Aptitude for business principles including budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional organizational skills; proficiency in utilizing, improving, and developing record keeping systems, activity logs, etc.
- Knowledge of safety (e.g. OSHA, BWC), environmental, and quality standards and ability to implement and enforce those standards and follow related protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with fellow team members, vendors, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to solve problems and think critically.
- Ability to establish and successfully meet deadlines, prioritize, and utilize time management skills.
- Experience in facility planning and maintenance operations.
- Flexibility and motivation to be on-call and work weekends, evenings, etc. when necessary to complete projects and meet deadlines.
Travel Requirements:
- 5%; primarily to Dexter, MI headquarters
