We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Truck and Trailer Specialties, Inc. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for the custom fabrication of customer trucks.
The ideal candidate will have general comprehension of and experience in the truck build-up process. You should possess a general understanding of truck components and hydraulic systems, including open and closed center systems. Additionally, you will need to have mechanical aptitude and be able to work alone with minimal supervision.
The selected individual will install, test, and diagnose hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and filter assemblies. They will also utilize prints and diagrams for hydraulic systems during the truck build-up process. Regular communication with Team Leaders and Operations Managers will be essential to assess assigned jobs and identify parts and materials required for build up.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to effectively perform job functions with input from managers and customers. A great attitude and ability to work with others are also essential.
