Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced truck mechanic to fill a unique role in on our team in Greencastle, PA
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medium or heavy duty truck repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various truck systems including engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, frame, and suspension systems.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues and perform repairs on used chassis, install aftermarket body systems and accessories, and ensure that all equipment operates properly and safely.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and driveline issues in medium-duty trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
- Modify frame and suspension layout to accommodate newly installed equipment
- Install truck equipment and accessories including dump beds, hydraulic pumps, electrical controls, work lights, and tool boxes.
- Fabricate truck body and accessory brackets
- Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs are completed.
Skills
- Proficient in medium-duty engine and driveline diagnosis and repair.
- Strong welding skills for repairing and fabricating metal components.
- Proficient in basic computer use for part lookup and use of diagnostic software.
- Experience operating industrial equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
