Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company’s Wellsboro, PA facility. Provides operations direction to Manufacturing and Logistics. Supports oversight of Maintenance functions.
• Provides leadership and sets priorities to meet company's strategic and tactical goals. Includes communication of goals to all plant employees.
• Administers the weekly manufacturing plan. Ensures coordination of supervision to meet the daily production plan.
• Maintains key operations performance measures to established goals, including labor and material variances, safety, and environmental to established goals.
• Responsible for plant efficiency, effectiveness, delivery, quality, scrap, and rework.
• Monitors department performance, and plans and executes corrective, preventive, and continuous improvement programs.
• Develops and maintains expense budgets, productivity, and capital budgets for the facility.
• Supports new product development and product launches into the Wellsboro, PA facility.
• Ensures overall quality of parts, products, and services provided and ensure cost/margin objectives are met for the products produced.
• Ensures IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 standards, processes and procedures are maintained during the course of the year to maintain continuous certification.
• Ensures positive employee relations and leads regular communication meetings with the hourly and professional workforce.
• Promotes safe working conditions.
• Develop and mentor existing plant operations staff.
• Ensure staff is growing in existing roles and are developing strengths for future roles within the company.
• Trains and appraise employee performance.
• Coach employees and manage conflicts.
• The position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation

REQUIREMENTS

• Four (4) year degree; prefer technical degree with 5 to 10 years of work experience related to production management.
• Must have proven leadership to lead changes in a continuous improvement environment.
• Prioritize issues and assign appropriate resources for resolution.
• Effectively communicate to all levels within the organization.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and experience with J.D. Edwards or another enterprise resource planning platform is a must.
