Job Description
Our Payroll Specialist/Admin Assistant reports directly to the President and Vice President of Truck Service Inc and is primarily responsible for payroll functions and HR administration for all TSI locations and employees. This position is also responsible for various administrative tasks in support of the HQ staff as outlined below.
Pay: Hourly, based on experience and qualifications
Type: Full time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Weekday, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Location: In Person. Truck Service, Inc Headquarters located at 3140 W Morris St, Indianapolis, IN 46241

Duties and Responsibilities (Payroll and HR Admin)
Process all weekly, biweekly and special payrolls via ADP TotalSource.
Validate and ensure the accuracy of all payroll processing.
Monitor and maintain performance reviews for all employees
Maintain employee payroll and personnel recordkeeping.
Monitor and maintain employee house account deductions and ensure accuracy.
Validate and process new hires and terminations, including checklists for all necessary documentation.
Process and maintain any regulatory reporting as needed.
Assist with payroll and HR training of TSI managers as requested.
Duties and Responsibilities (HQ Admin Assistant)
Monitor and update customer records as needed.
Set up employee house accounts as needed.
Provide backup to A/P and A/R as needed.
Assist with daily cash on hand processing and reconciliations, including HQ deposits.
Maintain office supplies inventory
Assist with promotional material ordering and inventory control
Assist with meeting planning and logistics as requested.
Qualifications
Proficient with ADP TotalSource payroll system
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Proficient with Google Workspace Email, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Chat
Experience with accounting software preferred
Strong verbal and written communication
Effective time management
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and take initiative
Deadline and detail-oriented
United States work authorization (Required)
GED, High School Degree, or College Degree (preferred but not required)
