Job Description Job Description Position OverviewTractor Technician will be running diagnostic tests, repairing semi-tractor vehicles, and performing preventative maintenance. The individual at this position will be eager to provide the best truck service and willing to communicate with company drivers, and other Mechanics within the shop to achieve overall success of the repair process. This position is a first shift (630 am through 300 pm), Monday through Friday opportunity.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to : Diagnose issues in semi-trucks and tractor-trailersPerform preventative maintenance on tractorsPerform Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Preventative maintenance, including replacing coils and filtersPerform Tractor preventative maintenance, including changing out filters, testing fire alarms and fire extinguishersTest equipment and systems for performancePerform repairs to brakes and electrical systemsPerform brake system repairs, suspension maintenance and structural damage repairs performing routine maintenance and regulatory compliancePerform disk & drum air brake repairsReplace parts as neededDocument repairsSkills and Requirements : Able to work as a team memberDiagnosis fault codesMust have the ability and desire to learn complex mechanical systemsMust own your own toolsMinimum 1 year experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 1 year experience in tractor maintenance and repair and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDiesel mechanic experience is a mustMust be a least 18 years of ageComputer literateValid driver’s licenseThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
