We are looking for a jybrid Senior Business Development Manager in Chicago! In this role you will work on new business opportunities by demonstrating consultative selling, managing customers through the sales cycle, and leveraging networks.
The work you do is focused on energy efficiency and sustainaiblity with school districts, higher education, healthcare, or federal, state, or local government. You'll be paired with a technical sales manager who handles the engineering side of the sales process.
This role has a six-figure base salary and full benefits including 3 weeks of vacation, 401K match, insurance, etc. If you hit your sales goals, your commission will easily double your salary.

- Manage a long sales cycle by building strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders
- Utilize a solutions-based selling approach to tailor proposals to the specific needs of each customer
- 3 years of sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Solutions-based selling approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
