We are looking to find excellent drivers to join the team. You will ensure safety, support vehicle recovery efforts in-field, complete vehicle checklists, communicate through radio and mobile applications, and represent the brand as an ambassador to the riding public.
In this role, you will assist and interact cross-functionally to ensure a safe environment for riders when help is needed in-field.
We are looking for drivers who are disciplined, team players, detail-oriented, focused, great customer service communicators, and believe in doing whatever it takes to safely accomplish the mission and make it a great experience for its riders. Beyond expertise in customer service execution, this role requires exceptional empathy, patience, and a relationship-oriented mindset.
You will have the opportunity to learn vehicle and personnel operations. You will have a front-row seat to the operational complexities of realizing autonomous mobility on public roads and the chance to contribute to the future.
As a Recovery Driver you will:
- Support Fleet Response daily operations in-field.
- Drive up to 8 hours a day with a priority on safety.
- Directly communicate with the riders and assist them into the shuttle.
- Utilize mobile applications to accurately report activities.
- Provide in-person rider support during fleet response and recovery situations.
- Provide accurate written and oral feedback to the teams.
- Conduct daily basic vehicle preventative maintenance checks.
- Ensure the readiness and cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and the workplace.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide efficient and effective in-person assistance to the riders.
- Assist with any documentation related to vehicle recovery, internally and with first responders.
Recovery Driver Requirements
- Excellent driving history with no criminal history
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Experience in high-stress situations, including knowledge of de-escalation techniques
- Fast-paced work environment experience
- Possess a customer service mindset and helpfulness
- Must be able to:
- Use radio communication systems
- Use mobile applications
- Sit in a vehicle for long hours
- Travel to different company sites for training
- Listen effectively, follow instructions and act promptly given instructions via radio communications
- Drive a vehicle in heavy traffic, assertively
- Follow navigation instructions exactly per in-vehicle systems
- Follow processes exactly as outlined and take initiative to execute
