To reshape the industry, at TruckSmarter, our focus is first on truck drivers. Trucks move 71% of freight in America (~$800bn annually) & the trucking industry represents nearly 6% of the full-time jobs in the country. If you look around you, every item has sat on a truck at one point on its journey to you. However, despite the industry being one of the greatest levers of innovation throughout history, it is still deeply fragmented & structurally misaligned. Our mission is to fix that-and we need your help.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced mobile engineer to help us transform TruckSmarter's new vision into a reality for all the freight industry. In this role, you'll :
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications for iOS and / or Android platforms using React Native.
- Provide guidance on mobile app best practices, coding standards, and new technologies.
- Review code and offer constructive feedback to peers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Work closely with product managers, UX / UI designers, and backend engineers to align on requirements and deliver solutions.
- Design frontend deployment pipelines balancing velocity and reliability to help frontend engineers build excellent product experiences for our users.
- Make crucial architectural decisions that will impact feature development for years to come.
