Position Summary :
The Software Engineer is a key player on a development team, using an Agile development model in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The Software Engineer is responsible for developing technical solutions to meet product and customer needs, training new team members, and communicating and collaborating with team members.
Essential Job Functions :
- Proactively influences squad communication and team dynamics
- Collaborates with other team members within respective Agile squad and Tribe to define and develop technical solutions to meet product and customer needs
- Creates and maintains documentation that is easily consumed by others
- Improves the development experience at Truckstop by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and code structure
- Improves code structure and architecture in service of testability and maintainability
- Independently Develop, document, and enhance API endpoints using Node.js or C#, .NET / .NET core, AWS lambda, serverless, API Gateway and SQL. Using frameworks like Entity Framework Core, working with IDE's such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- Experience with CI / CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes is nice to have
- Implements code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others
- Is responsible for the entire lifecycle of their code : development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
- Independently performs code reviews that follow Truckstop's published standards and practices and that are recognized by their team as helpful
- Improves the development experience at Truckstop by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and / or code structure
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Position Requirements :

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus. Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education / training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
96,000—$115,000 USD
The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not include other related occasional work that may be assigned or is completed by the employee.
