What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Manager position at TruckVault Inc.?
In this position, you will be asked to be a part of our full range inventory control system that drives our financial costing and planning, work with our vendors to assure a constant flow of bought out products to our manufacturing facilities while seeking better prices, quality, and be very connected to our Sales Department and Production Scheduling to help assure our lead times are met.
- Experience with an ERP based software and Excel. We use SysPro.
- Purchasing/Writing P.O.’s for components to make our products
- Price negotiations and sourcing
- Receiving goods into inventory
- Learning and understanding our Kan Ban system of replenishment.
- Experience working within an inventory team that:
· Prepares and executes weekly cycle counts
· Analyzes and solves inventory variance issues
· Tracks and reports usages when requested
- Produces reporting that helps us connect to our accounting functions and maintain our excellent environment
- Learn and help improve our processing of Sales Orders from beginning to end
- ‘Open’ work orders for distribution in Production, assuring they are correct to the customer order
- ‘Close’ work orders that are complete and reported correctly to our ERP based system software and links to Product Engineering
- Learn to correct the BOMs within our ERP system while linking with our Engineering Department
- Work with Production to produce or implement our Production Schedule using a rich set of in-house intranet tools.
- Ability to work within a team structure, lead or work independently.
- Good people skills to use while communicating with other support systems and our valued shop employees.
- A solid work history that includes some or all of the experience above.
