Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist clients with medication management and adherence to prescribed health plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities through engaging activities that promote independence and well-being.
- Implement memory care strategies for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Respond promptly to client needs and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus; certification may be required.
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Physical ability to lift clients and perform necessary caregiving tasks.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for clients.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of clients, including availability for evenings or weekends as required.

M-F 10 A 1 P 1 PCS and 2 Companion-Agency and 1 PCS on Saturday. Part is female 92 yrs old . Insist on doing housekeeping herself. Needs assistance with taking out trash and completing errands a provide transportation. At times her health will decline and she will require more assistance. She needs someone to come to work as scheduled. She asked that the aide not use the cell phone while working.
