True Companion Veterinary Care is a full service, state-of-the-art veterinary clinic open in the Cypress, Texas area. True Companion Veterinary Care is a fast paced veterinary office. True Companion Veterinary Care offers traditional daytime hours and appointments as well as urgent care/emergency services, seven days a week. If you have emergency experience that is a bonus, as we see emergency patients. We are seeking EXPERIENCED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS OR Licensed Veterinary Technician's to join our staff. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary environment, must have an open and friendly personality, excellent client communication skills, good computer skills, punctuality and great work ethic. We have competitive pay rates and bonus pay. We also offer health benefits, PTO/vacation time off. We have a full in-house lab, critical care Synder unit, class 4 laser therapy, and a digital x-ray unit. We also perform all soft tissue surgeries such as Spays/Neuters, foreign body, splenectomy, c-section, amputation, endoscopy, orthopedic surgery and so much more. Applicants must be proficient in drawing blood, take TPR, getting medical history and dictating the medical history in the patient's chart, various routes of injection of medications, giving vaccines, placement of IV catheters, good understanding of general wellness care for dogs and cats, knowledge of surgical practice/anesthesia protocol, intubating/extubating, dental care, dental cleanings, dental x-rays, CPR, running bloodwork, etc. Registered Veterinary Technicians or experienced veterinary technician is a plus but not necessary. Experience with Cornerstone practice software and IDEXX is a bonus. We are also open during the holidays for emergency services only. You must be able to work both shifts, day time and evening.
