Job Purpose
A lead server is responsible for assisting the guests' needs, responding to their inquiries, and immediately addressing their dining concerns. Lead servers ensure the timely and accurate serving of orders, offering promotional menus and other additional services.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operation of all community restaurant9s) and room delivery operations.
- Ensures meals delivered to resident units are delivered timely and properly.
- Ensures smooth and timely opening of the restaurant(s).
- Inspects side work to ensure completion and closes restaurant.
- Assists in producing weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service leaders.
- Ensures adequate number of service team members each shift and ensures absences are covered to not allow voids in coverage.
- Leads the training of all new service team members.
- Conducts required training sessions, weekly/monthly/quarterly.
- Oversees resident, guest, and team member meal billing of departmental charges.
- Maintains the resident meal requests and forwards these requests to the Director of Culinary.
- Is knowledgeable of all menus and food descriptions.
- Provides supervision for special community events.
- Supports sales and marketing efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
