Foodies looking for a fun, flexible, fast paced environment, True Flavors is a fast-growing industry leader and is looking for a hardworking and self-disciplined individual with experience in Catering Sales. A minimum of an associate's degree and five years of hotel, restaurant or catering experience is required. Culinary Sales Managers must have prospective selling and negotiating skills as well as computer knowledge. The job often involves attending industry and networking events and contacting client base. The Sales Manager will conduct site visits of the facility with the client, menu tastings and meetings with the client. The Catering Sales Manager drafts proposals, creates sample menus and presents them to the client. The Culinary Sales Manager assumes responsibility for communicating with them for set-up and execution of events, communication with the client as well as the catering team and reports directly to the COO.
Salary plus commission
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead site visits, create custom quotes, follow up on inquiries, and convert leads into bookings
-Handle contracts, invoices, emails
-Develop and maintain client relationships throughout the event cycle, serving as the primary point of contact
-Supervise event and catering operations alongside the Operations Manager, ensuring client satisfaction
-Collaborate and maintain relationships with event partners (rental companies, venues, etc.) to ensure customer needs and expectations are met
-Identify new business opportunities and markets for growth
-Conduct tastings and demos for prospective and current clients
-Work closely with kitchen, operations, and management teams to ensure the client’s needs and expectations are met
-Collaborate with the Marketing Department to coordinate promotional campaigns
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate and private catering sales
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends and event planning best practices.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, and Excel
· Ability to deal with people at all levels and work as a team
· Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
· Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and certain holidays if needed
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
