What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microbiology Lab Technician position at True Indicating, LLC?
This position will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and requires working 40 hours per week during the general hours of 8am to 5pm. This is a Microbiology laboratory position which requires high attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, accuracy and precision in measuring, clear communication with other associates and excellent problem-solving skills. This position requires sitting, standing, and walking with the ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, anticipate what is needed next and have the ability to effectively multi-task. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Job Description:
- Produce growth media and chemical solutions in support of Biological Indicator manufacturing
- Operate and calibrate balances, autoclaves, dishwashers and other specified laboratory equipment as applicable
- Perform quality control activities related to media release
- Accurately collect and record raw data
- Complete training records, production files and other associated documents
- Assist with internal root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Clean and disinfect work areas as applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required
- Must have high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication required
- Previous experience of product manufacturing in a GLP/GMP setting, and/or sterile processing would be a benefit but is not required
Technical Competencies:
- Comfortable with mathematic formulas related to concentrations and volumes
