As the Community Outreach Coordinator at True Nature Environmental Restoration Foundation (TNERF), you will play a vital role in connecting our organization with the local community. This position involves developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage volunteers, build partnerships, and raise awareness about TNERF’s mission to restore and preserve the environment. You will work closely with community members, schools, businesses, and other organizations to promote our programs and initiatives, fostering a strong network of support for our environmental conservation efforts.

- Develop and execute community outreach strategies to increase public awareness and participation in TNERF’s programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including schools, local businesses, and other nonprofits.
- Organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities that align with TNERF’s mission.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to create promotional materials and social media content to support outreach efforts.
- Represent TNERF at community meetings and events to advocate for environmental conservation and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- A strong interest in environmental conservation and a passion for community engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative outreach strategies.
- Previous experience in community organizing or volunteer coordination is a plus but not required.
REQUIRED:
- Must be a current high school student in the Bay Area as this is a youth nonprofit organization.
This is an unpaid board position for a nonprofit organization, open to individuals who are passionate about helping preserve and restore the environment throughout the Bay Area.
