We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director of Early Childhood Learning to join our team and help shape the foundation of our youngest learners. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our thriving Early Learning Academy, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children flourish.

About The Role: 

The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Learning will work closely with the Director to:

  • Oversee daily administration and supervision of programs, staff, curriculum, and services in alignment with state and school policies.

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children and staff.

  • Maintain accurate records, including student attendance, billing, staff files, and compliance documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, provide updates on student progress and address questions about school programs.

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of classrooms and playgrounds to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating school staff.

  • Collaborate with the Director to manage budgets, authorize purchases, and achieve enrollment goals.

  • Support the implementation of the high standards set forth by True North Classical Academy’s curriculum and culture.

  • Maintain flexibility to assist with closing the center three times a week, ensuring smooth end-of-day operations and providing support as needed.

 


 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 2-3 years of experience leading or managing in an early childhood learning environment.

  • Certification is not required to teach at True North.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Familiarity with VPK programs and state regulations for early learning centers.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
