We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Associate Accountant to join our team and support our continued growth. This role provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting while working closely with the CFO and other team members.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements (W-9s, COIs).
- Review vendor contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
- Reconcile AP accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute vendor 1099s.
Accounts Receivable:
- Maintain client relationships and ensure accurate billing setup in NetSuite.
- Process invoices and send statements via email, mail, or vendor portals.
- Post and reconcile payments, including credit cards, checks, and electronic deposits.
- Conduct collection activities and issue lien waivers as needed.
- General Accounting & Compliance:
- Assist with monthly closings, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Assist in payroll processing, reimbursements, and benefits administration (401K, deductions, etc.).
- Support internal process improvements and NetSuite training for employees.
General Accounting & Compliance:

Minimal Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Experience: 0-4 years in an accounting-related role; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills
- Work Ethic: Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and work collaboratively in a team environment
