It supports all departments across our retail locations by improving the efficiency of new equipment set-up and reconditioning. It streamlines part storage and transfers to improve our customer service abilities in our retail locations and provides additional space for growing our CDIP education processes for our customers and employees.

You’ll focus on:
- Assemble new John Deere agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and implements.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and test equipment to verify proper operation before customer delivery.
- Configure and calibrate precision ag technology as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues during assembly and setup.
- Work closely with the service and sales teams to ensure seamless equipment delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate setup and assembly records, including software updates and adjustments.
- Follow all safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Stay current with John Deere training and advancements in agricultural equipment technology.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, leadership, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of True North Equipment.
- Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with the ability to flex up to 5 hours of overtime per week, based on business workload.
What we are looking for:
- 5-10 years of experience in agricultural equipment assembly, setup, or service.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with John Deere equipmentand agriculture technology solutions
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to assist customers and team members effectively.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment software updates.
- The ability to lift heavy parts, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
- Forklift experience and license preferred.
- Must be able to retain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Must be able to maintain reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- John Deere certifications or manufacturer-specific training.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
