Salary: $98,890 - 131,821 DOE and location

What we need:
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced AVP of Lending with a passion for people to oversee our Consumer and Business Loan Departments, drive loan growth, and enhance efficiency while ensuring compliance and top-tier service.
Position Overview:
This position will work under the general direction of the Sr VP of Lending to manage all operational aspects of production and performance within the Consumer and Business Lending department. This includes both direct and indirect channels.
Additional responsibilities:
- Lead & Oversee Lending Operations – Oversee Consumer Loan and Member Business Loan Departments, setting origination and sales goals aligned with the Credit Union’s strategic vision.
- Manage & Develop Teams – Directly supervise the Consumer Loan Manager while ensuring high performance across consumer and business lending teams.
- Drive Indirect Lending Success – Lead the indirect loan program, fostering relationships with dealers and vendors to maximize growth opportunities.
- Optimize Loan Systems & Processes – Oversee lending platforms, vendor partnerships, and key loan origination systems (LOS) to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Enhance Portfolio & Products – Evaluate current loan products, policies, and procedures, recommending and implementing enhancements that improve profitability, credit quality, and member experience.
- Act as a Senior Loan Officer – Provide expert guidance in loan structuring, underwriting, and risk management to support sustainable portfolio growth.
What you’ll need:
- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- A (1) 2 year college degree or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing or (3) completion of a specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and a working knowledge of regulations affecting consumer and business lending.
- Ability to foster sound relationships with other entities and motivate and influence your team
