Duties
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities and memory care needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols.
Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by nursing staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient care.
Document patient care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care and safety.
Skills
Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in senior care and hospice settings.
Experience or familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of dementia care techniques and memory care strategies.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
