Cannabis Extraction Technician

Job Description:

Assisting in the extraction lab where the company makes high quality cannabis concentrates. In addition, making liquid diamonds to be used in MIP production.

The Lab is a multi-faceted environment, and the technician will be responsible for a multitude of tasks such as; formulating cannabis concentrates, preparing packaging & weighing concentrates, preparing materials for the extraction process, assisting cultivation in the preparation of fresh frozen biomass, carrying out post processing operations, and general cleaning and maintenance.

Essential Functions

· Carries out routine tasks accurately and strictly follows SOP’s.

· Prepares cannabis biomass for extraction.

· Loads and unloads extraction machines.

· Formulates cannabis concentrates.

· Conducts post-processing procedures accurately and efficiently.

· Document and report all extraction activities, including yields, solvent use, and any issues encountered during the process.

· Performs weighing and packaging processes and procedures.

· Records processing data.

· Follows cleaning schedule and maintains clean work environment.

· Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock and notifying supervisors if orders are needed.

· Maintains supplies by picking up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, inventorying, and distributing.

· Keeps extraction equipment operating by following operation instructions and routine maintenance schedule; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintains supplies; informs supervisors of the need for, and assists with, repairs.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in extraction technology; contribute to process improvement initiatives.

· Assisting in managing inventory of raw materials and finished products. Ensure proper storage and handling of cannabis extracts.

· Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

· Handle hazardous materials in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

· Work closely with other team members to ensure an efficient workflow and high-quality production.

· Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

· Experience in highly regulated industry.

· Knowledge of extraction methods, equipment, and safety protocols. Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.

· Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, mechanically inclined, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to lift 60 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, kneel, bend, and crouch.

· Perform repetitive tasks and comfortable working in a laboratory environment with exposure to various chemicals and solvents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
